The GigStick
The GigStick is my own creation. I wanted to combine the sound of my Stick Dulcimers with the cigar box guitar concept. The result is a 3 or 4 string full fretted (Chromatic fretting rather than Diatonic like my Stick Dulcimers) guitar style instrument, that has a totally unique sound. They come tuned to D-A-D-(F#) but can be tuned to any open tuning or even the top or bottom 3 or 4 strings of a guitar, E-A-D-(G) (D)-G-B-E. They will fit into any style of music and offer a fun, creative, alternative to the guitar.
This is the ideal instrument for a guitarist or for someone looking to progress on from the Stick Dulcimer. It is still easy to pick up and play but takes a lot more time to master than a Stick Dulcimer.
They will be available in all the same timbers I use on my Stick Dulcimers and will come with a strap, a bag and some picks.
